The Student Chapter Momentum Award, started in 2020, is meant to recognize a Student Chapter that has experienced the greatest momentum in the past year in the following areas: Chapter Administration, Application of Technical Knowledge; Networking Events; K–12 STEM Outreach; New Member Recruitment; Diversity and Inclusion; Training/Professional Development; Field Trips/Technical Tours; Service Projects; and Leadership Development. The District winner will be forwarded to ITE International for the International level Student Chapter Momentum Award.

2022 Student Chapter Momentum Award – Michigan State University

  • MSU had 17 presentations made by chapter members, 7 socials, and 8 field activities.
  • They were approved for an Adopt a Highway Permit and are planning road cleanup activities for this year,
  • Published 12 journal articles in addition to presenting at TRB.
